To Burnett Grads Of 2022,
When we look back on the last five years of our lives, one thing all of us can agree on is that Mr. Yam has had a profound impact on our lives. Whether through his iconic Science Cheat Sheets, geode obsession, his infamous "Pig Test" or his go too look of a blue polo, loose denim jeans and a can of coke - Mr. Yam is simply unforgettable. With our final year together coming to an end this June, Mr. Yam also bids farewell to Burnett - retiring after 37 years of teaching at our school.
In many ways, Mr. Yam has been the heart of our graduating class, and so, it is only fair that the legend himself deliver our Grad Toast at Prom this year.
Mr. Yam, if you're reading this: I told you I wasn't going to stop until you said yes to doing our Grad Toast! This is just the beginning...

We are sending this email to remind you that Dinner Dance and Dry Grad Ticket Sales end on May 3rd.
There seems to be some confusion about Dry Grad among some of our Grads. The main purpose of Dry Grad is to provide a safe and fun party for the class of 2022 to celebrate one last time at Burnett. Please read the attached amazing event line up that the school and Dry Grad parents are planning for June 3rd. We have heard that some students believe they can leave the Vancouver Convention Center after the Dinner and Dance. This is not the case. All students will ride on luxury coach busses from Burnett Secondary to the Convention Center and all students will return to Burnett Secondary on the coach busses. Busses are being provided by PAC at no charge. If students return from the Dinner Dance and don't want to attend Dry Grad, parents will be asked to sign-off on their release or pick them up from Burnett. The same will be true at the end of Dry Grad.
The Dry Grad Committee is working extremely hard to plan a wonderful after party from 12:00 to 3:00 am at the school. It is getting bigger and better by the day.
To encourage ticket sales, all Grads who by a ticket at Cash Online for Dry Grad by Sunday May 1st at Midnight will be put in a draw to win $250 dollars at Dry Grad. See the attached poster.
We hope to see many of you at the Boat Cruise, Dinner Dance and Dry Grad!

As mentioned in Mr. Ratzlaff's email yesterday, we're thrilled to announce a DRY GRAD AFTER PARTY 🎉 Tickets are available until May 3 and can be purchased through School Cash Online along with your Dinner + Dance ticket. IMPORTANT: You MUST use the charter bus for transportation to and from the prom venue! Entry will not be permitted if you arrive on your own.
